MY STORY STARTS WITH PAIN, FEAR, AND A HARD REALITY CHECK

At sixteen, I was a confident dancer. Strong. Coordinated. Invincible.
Then, in a single moment, an injury wiped that identity out. The physical pain was one thing.
The deeper hit was realising my body was more fragile than I believed.

Something shifted. I became obsessed with understanding the human body… and why it lets us down.
That curiosity eventually led me from New Zealand to Sydney, where the idea for BRAIN TO BODY® was born.

But before all that came the moment that changed everything.

THE NIGHT I LEARNT WHAT FEAR REALLY FEELS LIKE

Years later, my twin brother and I faced a situation I still struggle to describe.
A storm. A boat. Miles of open ocean.
A split-second decision that meant the difference between surviving… or not.

We chose to jump.
To trust instinct instead of panic.
To swim through the unknown because staying still wasn’t an option.

That night reprogrammed my nervous system forever.
It taught me courage. It taught me clarity. It taught me that the decisions we make under stress reveal who we really are.

It also planted the seed for the work I do today.

Because posture is not just physical.
It’s emotional.
It’s behavioural.
It’s a survival imprint.

THE BRAIN BODY CONNECTION BECAME MY OBSESSION

I studied Anatomy and Structural Biology at the University of Otago.
Then I completed my chiropractic degree at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.

But I didn’t stop there.
I dove into the world of Functional Range Systems (FRC, FRA, FR Spine), nervous system science, breathwork mechanics, foot function, and human movement.

I discovered something powerful:
Most people don’t have a “posture issue.”
They have a brain-body communication problem.
Their nervous system is stuck in a pattern.
A loop of protection, tension, and compensation.

To change their body, they needed to change the signal.

This became the foundation of everything I teach.

FROM A SINGLE STUDIO IN SYDNEY TO A GLOBAL PROTOCOL

In 2019, I opened BRAIN TO BODY® in Sydney, Australia.
Within months, I began to see the same pattern across professionals, athletes, students, parents, and performers:

They didn't just want relief.
They wanted resolution.
They wanted clarity.
They wanted confidence.

And they wanted long-term change that actually lasts.

Pain Posture Protocol™ grew from this demand.
A system designed to retrain posture from the inside out.
To rebuild joint control.
To reconnect afferent input.
To reshape identity, not just alignment.
To create a body that matches the life you want to live.

MY SUPERPOWER CAME FROM A CHILDHOOD STRUGGLE

Growing up, reading was almost impossible for me.
Not because I didn’t try.
But because my brain simply wasn’t processing the world the way other kids’ brains did.

Eventually, I discovered I had Irlen Syndrome.
Once I cracked my own learning code, everything changed.

I started pairing audiobooks at 1.7x speed with reading at the same time.

That combo became my superpower.
What used to be a limitation turned into an advantage in how I see the world, connect patterns, and link ideas. It trained me to notice details others miss and to curate new concepts in a way that actually makes sense in real life.

That experience shaped the Pain Posture Protocol™.
Because everyone has their version of this story.
A challenge that becomes a strength once you understand the mechanism behind it.
